Three Peaks Challenge 2011

John Leach has done the three peaks challenge for the second year in a row!!! John successfully completed the 25 mile circular route visiting the three highest peaks in Yorkshire, Pen-y-ghent (691m), Whernside (728m), Ingleborough (723m).

A massive THANK YOU from all of us at The Toy Library for raising over £330.00 for us


Great North Run 2011

Our very own volunteer Kate Smith did the Great North Run this year, she ran an amazing time of 1 hour 53 minutes & 48 seconds and has raised over £140.00

Well Done Ollie

Ollie Smith, dad of a little girl who comes to the Toy Library took part in an off road dualathlon on 21st November. The dualathlon entails a 4km run, 18km mountain bike route with another 4km run to finish,

We would like to say a very big thank you to Ollie who raised the fantastic sum of £260.06 for us.

Ollie completed his dualathlon in an amazing 2:23 - Well Done Ollie!



Three Peaks Challenge 2010


A very big thank you to John Leach, dad of a little boy who uses the Toy Library who did the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge on 12th June 2010.

This involved John walking A 25 mile circular route visiting the three highest peaks in Yorkshire , Pen-y-ghent (691m), Whernside (728m), and Ingleborough (723m) , John raised the fantastic sum of £330.00 which will be used for the benefit of our children.


Northern Rock Cyclone


A  very big thank you to Jen Pearce and Ruth Bishop, both girls donned their helmets and cycled an amazing 63 miles through beautiful Northumbrian Countryside on Saturday 12th June to complete the Northern Rock Cyclone Challenge raising the amazing amount of £380.00 for us. Jen is a carer for one of the young people who comes to the Library so she knows that her fundraising will help to provide much needed services for the children.
